Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her most well-known work is her role as the deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an therapist for speech and family, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. She was also of English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
